One of our customer service representatives will call you the same day of receipt or within 24 hours of receiving your order. If we are unable to reach you, we will leave a VM and also send a text message. Once your order has been processed, we will go over all associated copays and discounts applied.
General
One of our staff will go over which medications are to be stored in the fridge while doing our order review call. Additionally, all refrigerated items are sent in thermal packs on ice and have neon stickers on the outside to remind you to open these.
A WIN nurse will call you to confirm your order then release it to Braun once they make contact with you. One of our staff will promptly follow up with you once we receive the order from WIN.
Our staff electronically submits PA forms to your clinic if your insurance requires this. Your insurance will take a few days to review the claim. Once a determination has been made, we can resubmit your prescription to your plan to check if coverage is in place. If you need your meds prior to your PA completing, we will be happy to apply our discount pricing until the PA is ready then credit you back the difference if your coverage applies.
One of our pharmacists will review all of this info during a consultation on the order review call. You can also watch our injection training videos here.
Braun is contracted with every insurance plan. Some require you to only work with one specific pharmacy in order for your benefits to apply. Braun will pre-verify your insurance for you to determine if you have coverage and the best course of action in order to utilize this while also being able to go over our competitive discount plans.
WIN only allows up to a certain quantity of medications to be dispensed at a time. Sometimes they break up the total amount prescribed into a refill due to large quantity ordered.
Medication Guide
Generic medications are mass-produced for the public and are commercially available on the market for purchase at chain pharmacies. Compounded medications are made-to-order by licensed compounding pharmacies in response to a client’s request and their physician’s prescription. At Braun PharmaCare, all of our compounded medications are unique and custom-made to meet your individual needs and we will always take your comfort into consideration as well.
If commercially-available medications aren’t meeting your needs and you’re interested in trying compounded medications, please speak with your physician to obtain a prescription with Braun PharmaCare. Once we receive a prescription or refill request from your physician, we will create a formulation with their approval and make dosage form and flavor customizations according to your preferences.
Almost any prescription for any condition can be compounded! At Braun, we specialize in fertility, hormone therapy, and veterinary compounding, but we are experienced with formulating treatments for many other conditions as well. Please contact us to find out more!
Compounding is legal, safe, and regulated throughout the country. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves of pharmaceutical compounding when it is prescribed by a licensed physician for a specific patient and formulated by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Braun PharmaCare strictly adheres to FDA regulations and only produces a compounded formulation for a patient when it is explicitly prescribed by their physician.
There are many different types of compounded medications, and by definition, compounding creates a unique product for each client, which makes it impossible to generalize an estimated cost with accuracy. The cost of a given compounded medication can vary depending on a range of factors, including the dosage form, the equipment and techniques used, the accessibility and price of ingredients, the customizations added for taste and appeal, and the length of time that our pharmacists and technicians may require to properly research and formulate your custom medication. Regardless of your formulation, we are always happy to provide consultations with you about affordability and we will do everything in our power to help you claim reimbursement from your insurance provider, though coverage is not guaranteed.
Because Braun pharmacists and technicians dedicate time and care to formulating prescriptions to each client’s unique specifications, the time frame for filling prescriptions can vary. Typically, we devote between 24 and 48 hours to formulate a compounded medication with the accuracy and high quality that our clients deserve; however, in some exceptional cases, additional time may be required. In all cases, we make our best effort to fill your prescription and have it available for pick up or delivery as soon as possible.
If you are local, we offer convenient same-day in-store pickup and same-day in-state delivery services. We are also licensed to ship to all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. For more information on our shipping services, please refer to our Medication Delivery page.
